A Place On The Top Of the Cloud
Skandagiri is a hill located approximately 70km from the city of Bangalore in Karnataka state. It is located near the Bellary Road (NH-7 Hyderabad-Bangalore Highway), and very near the Mount of Nandi and Chikkaballapura. Peak at an altitude of about 1350 meters, tempai this is a paradise for any adventurer with a beautiful night trips, camping, stunning sunrises, clouds and calm and the pond which sometimes limit visibility to just a few meters.
About Kalavaarahalli Betta
The village is named Kandavara halli and the hill is called Kandavarahalli Betta (Betta Skandagiri and Kalwarahalli). Chikkaballapura lies in the district of Karnataka. Skandagiri is one of the castle hills in the Nandi Hill ranges. Decayed of Tipu Sultan’s fortress walls can be seen even today.
History tells us that this is a small but strong fort. Tipu Sultan’s fort was reported taken from local authorities by giving milk for poisoning the rulers at that time. He surrendered to British troops on October 19, 1791. He stayed in England until the hand of peace agreements in 1792, who finished third Anglo-Mysore war
There are two caves in the areas, one starting from the base and leads to the temple at the top and the other is a road that only about 30 feet. Both have never been traced further, especially the first one. Locals said that there Pythons in the cave. Allegedly, there are six Samadhis in the cave.

Ways to get there
There are two routes to reach Skandagiri, First of NH-7, leading to Nandi Hills. At Nandi Hills turn right and proceed to the Village Kalawara through Muddenahalli (bharath Rathna Sir.M.Visweswaraih birthplace). From Chikkaballapura proceed directly to the village Kalawara.
