Cassis, France Little Heaven
Cassis city during Roman times is part of the maritime trade routes to North Africa and the Middle East created by the Emperor Antonius Pius. Formerly a fishing town of Cassis and crafters shellfish is now arguably as a major tourist destination to enjoy the Mediterranean Sea and admire the charming bay reefs.
What to see and visit here? Revisiting the old town of Cassis, my suggestion on foot, because the city has many small streets with more steps we can enjoy on foot. Some of the unique boutiques offer local products to be decorated with lovely hearts entertainer. Any restaurant or cafe can be found in some small way here. Concerning the historical heritage there is not too much to see, there are castles, Cassis, which unfortunately can only be seen from afar the rest there are some monuments or museums we can go for free. This port city is better offer a view in terms of their enchantment.
estaurants and cafes became the place of choice for tourists to enjoy the harbor, beach and ocean. My advice, enjoy walking along the beach and along the city’s port, see the colorful wooden fishing boats. Clean beaches with comfortable resting place, some restaurants even offer us to enjoy the food and beverage offerings in a long chair on the beach.
Tourist information office located in the port as well; here we can request a free guide map at the same time. At the information office there is also tourist information becomes the main destination for tourists, which saw the beauty of coral bay with sailboats.
Calanques
Coming to Cassis, without looking at the valley and the bay now known as France was like a small paradise to come to Paris without visiting the Eiffel tower. Seeing the bay reefs or in French called Calanque, can be done in several ways. The best choice is by the sailing boat and walking tours. Ship tours offer a wide choice of excursions, i.e. from the start only to see a coral bay with a starting price of 13 Euros to several bay reefs. By foot, much-needed sporting spirit! Because the path leading uphill and down Calanque. From the city to the bay reef walk takes about 25 to 35 minutes, depending on our feet used to walking or not. Throughout the trip legs, our eyes will be met with a number of luxurious private homes. After a half walking, fatigue will be removed to see the stunning panorama. From the top of this hill we could see the bay like the reef is divided into two by sea water flowing and the ships berthing and sailing in the azure water. The ships look like small rocks wedged between sharp. Then a ship headed to the center free from the crush of the ocean like a giant two valleys. The wind was very strong in this area blew add the expression of natural forces.
I really appreciate the natural grain, which is dedicated by the French small town paradise. For me personally Calanque is one of God’s amazing graces, stunning scenery. That’s the South of France.
